Scientists were left completely stunned after seeing a metal sphere flying through the sky before falling in a city in western Colombia.

The incident occurred in March, when the mysterious object was seen flying through the sky in Colombia before landing in the city of Buga, where it was located and confiscated, Truthpolex stated on X (formerly Twitter).

The orb, which allegedly weighs about 2kg and was cold to the touch when found, had a series of symbols with an ancient appearance, including runes and characters from the Ogham and Mesopotamian writing systems, engraved into the metal.

Locals quickly speculated that the sphere might be an alien object. Meanwhile, scientists also cannot determine the exact origin of the mysterious orb.

The sphere has no “welds or joints,” which would normally indicate it was made by humans, according to Dr. Jose Luis Velazquez, a radiologist hired to examine the sphere.

“It is of artificial origin, as there is no evidence of welding and its internal structure is composed of high-density elements. More tests are needed to establish its origin,” he said in a video shared on X.

Researchers used AI to try to decipher what the symbols mean. “The origin of birth through union and energy in the cycle of transformation, meeting point of unity, expansion and consciousness — individual consciousness,” the message on the sphere allegedly says.

“We interpret this as a message for humanity, encouraging a collective shift in consciousness to help Mother Earth — especially considering the current issues with pollution and environmental decline,” said the research team.
